Welcome to the Shit Show! We'd love to share our story and adventures with you.
What started as two friends screwing around, making each other laugh, and probably saying things we shouldn’t has somehow turned into something much bigger than we ever expected.
Who We Are
Just two oddball friends that want to make people's day! Or ruin it, depending what type of person you are. LoL
Our Story
We’re JD and Trevor, the two guys behind CP&HD and @CPtrevor.
Trevor brings the CP — Cerebral Palsy — and JD brings the HD - Heavy Duty. But CP&HD has never been about letting a diagnosis define who we are. If anything, it’s about showing that life can be difficult, ridiculous, unpredictable, and still be pretty damn funny.
And our story started long before TikTok, social media, or CP&HD ever existed.
It All Started in 1999
JD officially met Trevor back in 1999, during JD’s eighth-grade year. Trevor was just six years old at the time.
And for whatever reason, JD immediately thought this six-year-old kid was way cooler than any of his friends.
Picture it: a little blonde-headed kid with a bowl cut, glasses with lenses that looked like they’d been carved off the Hubble Space Telescope, and a set of Forrest Gump-style leg braces.
But behind all of that was one of the most interesting, quick-witted little dude JD had ever come across.
Trevor could take a joke and fire one right back before you even had time to think about what you’d said. The sense of humor was already there. The personality was definitely there. And the friendship just clicked.
It was pretty much history from then on.
A Hell of a Lot of Miles & Even Better Stories
Over the years, that friendship has taken us places neither one of us probably imagined back in 1999.
We’ve traveled to concerts from Indiana to Mississippi, including personal meet-and-greets with Aaron Lewis.
We’ve stumbled — and one-wheeled — our way down Gulf Drive on Anna Maria Island on more than one occasion.
We somehow managed to nearly get ourselves kicked out of the Hard Rock at Universal Studios thanks to a certain someone named Mr. Kevin. If you know, you know.
We’ve had record days deep-sea fishing, making memories on the water that we'll talk about for the rest of our lives.
And then there’s the hunting.
We’ve hunted whitetail deer in Indiana and Ohio, traveled all the way to Malartic, Quebec, to hunt black bear, chased hogs around Lake Okeechobee, Florida, and hunted them again down around Eagle Pass, Texas.
There have been thousands of miles, countless road trips, concerts, hunts, fishing trips, vacations, questionable decisions, busted plans, inside jokes, and stories that probably shouldn't ever make it onto the internet.
Although, knowing us, they probably will.
Through all of it, one thing has stayed pretty much the same:
We make the best out of whatever situation we're in, and we have a damn good time doing it.
Then Somebody Turned on a Camera...
Our friendship has always been built around humor.
We give each other a hard time. We laugh at things other people might be afraid to laugh at. Neither one of us takes ourselves too seriously, and absolutely nothing is off limits when it comes to giving each other shit.
Eventually, somebody started recording it.
What you see in our videos isn't a carefully manufactured social-media act. There aren't writers sitting behind the scenes coming up with Trevor's comebacks or telling JD what stupid thing to say next.
It's just us.
It's basically the same shit we've been doing to each other since 1999 — except now there's a camera pointed at us and a bunch of you are along for the ride.
And somehow, you guys seem to enjoy it as much as we do.
More Than a Couple of Videos
When we started posting, we never imagined people would actually want to follow along, much less wear something with CP&HD or @cptrevor on it.
But somewhere along the way, a community started forming.
People laughed with us. They shared our videos, left comments, told their friends about us, and kept coming back.
Some of you have been here from the beginning. Others probably stumbled across one of our videos five minutes ago and wondered:
“Who the hell are these two?”
Well... now you know.
You're basically watching a friendship that's been going strong for more than 25 years.
And we're glad you're here.
Why We Made This Store
This store is another way for us to have fun with what we've created together and give the people who support us a chance to be part of it.
Every shirt, hat, sticker, or piece of CP&HD merchandise represents something that didn't start as a brand.
It started as a friendship.
A friendship between an eighth grader and a six-year-old kid with a blonde bowl cut, some NASA-grade glasses, and Forrest Gump leg braces who somehow ended up becoming one of the coolest people JD had ever met.
More than two decades later, we're still traveling, hunting, fishing, laughing, giving each other hell, and figuring out what kind of trouble we can get ourselves into next.
When you buy something from us, you're doing more than buying merch. You're supporting two friends who genuinely enjoy making people laugh and giving us the opportunity to keep creating more of the ridiculous content you've come to expect.
And we don't take that support for granted.
From Both of Us — Thank You
Whether you've purchased something, shared a video, followed one of our accounts, left a comment, stopped us somewhere to say hello, or simply laughed at something stupid we've done, thank you.
Seriously.
We appreciate every person who spends a little bit of their day watching our videos and being part of this community.
We've learned over the years that things aren't always going to go according to plan.
Sometimes the best you can do is laugh about it, make the most of it, surround yourself with good people, and keep moving forward.
Or one-wheeling forward.
Either way...
Life is too short to take everything seriously.
So laugh when you can, give your friends hell, appreciate the people around you, make some memories, and enjoy the ride.
Because that's exactly what we plan on doing.
— JD & Trevor

Our Objective
Our objective is pretty simple: make people laugh, make some memories, and show that life is meant to be lived—not watched from the sidelines.
CP&HD is about friendship, humor, adventure, and making the best out of whatever life throws at you. We don't want Trevor's disability to be the reason you watch us—we want you to watch because we're funny, genuine, occasionally inappropriate, and having a hell of a good time.
If our videos can make somebody laugh on a bad day, encourage someone to get out and experience life, or show that a wheelchair doesn't have to put limits on where you can go or what you can do, then we're accomplishing exactly what we set out to do.
Laugh hard. Live fully. Make memories. And never take yourself too damn seriously.
